How to soothe a teething baby

So you’ve recognised the signs that your baby is teething, what now? It can be hard to know what to do to soothe your baby’s gums during this stage. So to help we’ve compiled a go-to list to soothe your teething little one.

Massage the gums

-            You can provide some quick relief by massaging your little ones gums. Our Teething Starter Set is perfect as it includes two of our Finger Toothbrushes , our Animal teether and Flat Face Teether. All designed with bumps or soft silicone bristles to  help massage sore gums.

Chilled and soft food

-            Cold foods can help to soothe inflamed gums, and choosing softer  foods may make eating easier for little ones as new teeth are emerging. All of our Teethers are fridge safe, so putting them in the fridge can provide extra cooling relief to your little ones teething pain.

Use a teether

-            This is an easy safe chewing option, (that can save your finger and car keys)! A teether both helps ease pain while providing a distraction for little ones. Try one of our original teethers, the bumps on the back of the head are designed to massage sore gums. The bumps also perfect for adding teething gel or granules too and make it easy to get to those hard-to-reach molars.

Cuddles

-            Yes, really! Cuddling your teething baby can actually help them, as skin on skin contact helps to calm them down, regulate their temperature and reduce stress.

Remember, it is important to note that different methods work for different babies, and you may need to go through some trial and error before finding the one for your little one!
